Nedumgayam

During my visit to Nilamboor I also had a re-visit to Nedugayam. This area is famous for the teak timber depot. The teak plantations there dates back to 1909 and 1919.

One could not miss visiting the tomb of Er. Dawson here who so infamously did a waterery harakiri in front of his wife. Legend has it that Dawson used to dive into the river aside and after a while re-emerge from underwater. On 9.10.1938, he did not.
